Injection molding is one of the common processing methods. During the injection molding process, process parameters such as temperature, pressure and injection speed play a key role in the quality of the product. If the temperature is too high, the PES material may decompose, affecting the mechanical properties and appearance of the product; if the temperature is too low, the material fluidity may deteriorate, making it difficult to fill the mold, resulting in defects such as lack of material in the product. Appropriate pressure and injection speed can ensure the density and dimensional accuracy of the product. In addition, the design of the injection mold is also very important. A good gate position and cooling system can reduce the stress concentration and deformation of the product.

Extrusion molding is suitable for the production of continuous profiles and pipes. The control of extrusion temperature and screw speed is crucial. Too high temperature may cause material degradation, while too low temperature will cause insufficient material fluidity, affecting extrusion efficiency and product quality. The adjustment of screw speed can control the extrusion output and the degree of plasticization of the material. Extruded products usually have good dimensional stability and surface quality.

Compression molding is often used to produce complex or large products. Molding temperature, pressure and holding time are key factors affecting product quality. High temperature and high pressure can make PES material fully flow and fill the mold, improving the density and strength of the product. However, excessive pressure may cause internal stress in the product, affecting its performance and dimensional stability. Reasonable setting of holding time can ensure that the product maintains its shape and size during cooling.

Different processing methods will also affect the microstructure and performance of PES products. For example, injection molded products may have a certain orientation, which affects the anisotropy of their mechanical properties; while compression molded products are relatively uniform.
